It’s truly my answered prayer to be able to meet and work with Huiling as my counselor. She helped me trace through my emotional patterns to the root cause of my developmental trauma, which I experienced for years growing up in a poor immigrant family. Through brainspotting, Huiling held for me the space where I have gained deeper understanding about my intuitive reactions of anger and frustration. The ways that Huiling worked with me for my long-term struggle with anxiety have been very refreshing. Huiling walked closely with me through a very hard season of a strained relationship with my husband and the subsequent divorce. What brought us to Huiling for couples counseling was a very painful betrayal that placed our marriage in a deep crisis. Both of us were desperate to find hope and resolution for our issues. Huiling listened to both of us well and facilitated deep and honest conversations within our individual self and with each other. We had our premarital counseling with Huiling. Huiling is very good at understanding the tricky issues in a blended family situation. She validated the challenges of dealing with a pesky ex-spouse, parenting stepchildren, and even sometimes competing for each other’s attention.
