Online Counseling

Like It, Love It, Gotta Have It – Or…

Whether you love it, hate it, or just think, “Meh,” online format for meetings, training, workshops, appointments are becoming more a normal part of life than ever before.

Whether you’re a tech-savvy genius or don’t know a bit from a byte – whether you’re a seasoned Zoom pro or dread embarrassing disruptions in the online setting, you’ve probably already ventured into online encounters with your doctors, counselors, teachers, friends, etc., when the in-person option is just not available, due to virus, distance, weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, to name but a few.

However you feel, it’s here to stay.

But it has its charms.

As much as you like the convenience of electronic copies of books and documents, you may still like to read the physical copy of your favorite book while sitting on a lounge chair and sipping your aromatic coffee.

Even so, online counseling offers you uninterrupted therapy – when an in-person option is either impractical or impossible.

It’s flexible.

You can join from anywhere, as long as it’s quiet and private.

Snowstorm? Health condition? Quarantine? No problem.

Whether in a distant rural area or overseas, we can connect as though we were in the same room.

It’s convenient and affordable.

Once we set your schedule, you can carry on with your work and therapy as planned.

We never have to interrupt your momentum on your healing journey.

And you save both time and money! No more babysitting fees and frustrations.

No more wasted time and mileage or wear and tear from a hectic commute.

It’s simple, safe, and secure.

You can get to your session with the click of a button from any device – desktop, laptop, tablet, or even your phone!

And I use a HIPAA-compliant account from my home or counseling office – so you can rest assured knowing your session is always private and confidential.

It’s comfortable and just as effective.

Though the content of your therapy may not be pleasant, you can enjoy the ultimate comfort by choosing your own setting.

Experiencing therapy snuggled in your favorite blanket, cuddling your emotional support animal, sipping your favorite coffee or tea, warmed by your smoldering fire, or calmed by the tranquility of your own backyard.

You have your session face-to-face, and your interaction with your counselor is a more essential factor in a virtual setting. In fact, some clients report being able to open up more fully because they’re more relaxed in the setting of their choice than in the clinical environment of an office.

Nothing’s perfect, but…

You do need a stable Internet connection and the basic skills to operate your computer or phone.

Occasionally, you may not have the luxury of your own private space to launch the session and talk freely.

In the case of imminent danger or harm, you may need immediate resources to access timely help. Online counseling may not be able to facilitate that.

And everyone’s different – some people feel that lack of physical proximity impersonal. Ultimately, you’ll need to try it to gauge your response. On the other hand, it may be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

Online or in-person, I’m here for you.

I’ve connected with people from multiple continents through online counseling, even before the pandemic.

I care most about your maximized healing, and I’m happy to explore the option of online counseling with you.
