FAQ

Where is your office located?

I have a physical office at the following address:

8500 W Bowles Avenue Suite 315 Littleton, CO 80123

However, we can also meet online if you live in Colorado or overseas.

Are you accepting new clients right now?

Yes, I am.

I have some limited availability on the weekdays, Monday and Tuesday evenings until 8 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to noon.

How do I get into the building if we have a session scheduled outside regular operating hours?
Please text me at (720) 468-0424 once you arrive and find that the building door or the suite door is locked.

I may be in the middle of a session with another client when you text, but I will come to open the door for you once it’s your time to meet.

How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
Do you work with insurance?

No, I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, I can provide a “superbill” statement (receipt) that you may use to file with your insurance company for possible out-of-network benefit reimbursement.

Meanwhile, you may use your health savings account to pay for your sessions as a self-pay client.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check, or credit/debit card. I enter your card payment information into the encrypted system during the first session.

Payment then applies to your account by the end of the session.

How do I set up an initial session?

You can call me at (720) 468-0424, send an email to huiling@integratedccc.com, or fill out the contact form below, and I will respond to you within 24 hours.

We can set up a 20-minute free phone consultation to discuss what you want to achieve through counseling.

We then schedule our initial appointment at the end of your consultation – if we both feel that I am a good fit for your counseling needs.

What if I need to cancel my scheduled session?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.

If you must cancel within that timeframe, you will incur a fee of the full session rate, except in the case of illness or other emergent situations.

Will I get reminders of my scheduled sessions?
Yes, you will receive a reminder by text and email about 48 hours before your scheduled session.
Do you offer sliding scale counseling?
Yes, I offer a discounted rate to clients in the pastoral ministry of local churches or overseas mission fields.
Can I start with in-person sessions, then switch to Zoom if needed, or vice versa?
Yes, absolutely. We need to establish some safety protocols for online counseling ahead of time.
With what age groups do you work?

I work with clients 14 years of age or older in individual sessions.

If I work with a family with kids younger than 14, I see them in family sessions.

With what types of issues do you work?
I see clients struggling with all kinds of challenges, including anxiety and depression, relational issues, identity issues, addiction, postpartum depression, grief and loss, sexual issues, premarital counseling, divorce, life transitions, developmental trauma, abuse, PTSD/Complex PTSD, and religious trauma.
Are you LGBTQ-friendly?
Yes, absolutely. I see everyone as made in the image of God, and I’m called to serve everyone I’m honored to encounter.
Why do you do what you do?
I love to share my story. Check out my About pages to know my calling and the vision, mission, and values of my practice.
Are you fluent in English?

I’ve been speaking English for several decades, and it’s my primary language. I use it every day with clients and family and obtained my master’s degrees in English programs.

I’m very confident in my English proficiency as needed in our counseling space, so it won’t be an issue in our sessions together.

Can you counsel in Mandarin?
Absolutely. Once I start speaking in Mandarin, it comes quickly and naturally.
How confident are you in your cultural competence level?

I pride myself on my keen awareness, knowledge, and skills about the various cultural issues we encounter today in a highly diverse society.

My confidence in my high cultural competence level comes from my lived experiences as an immigrant and naturalized citizen in this country in the past few decades, working and training in different group settings, and effective counseling with many clients of various racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

You’re an ordained minister – does that mean we’ll be doing biblical counseling?

No, not at all. There is a huge difference between biblical counseling and the professional counseling I’m trained to do.

As my client, you’ll decide whether you want to incorporate prayer, discussions, or any direct integration of the scripture.

Do I need to be a Christian to receive counseling service from you?

Absolutely not! Whatever your spiritual background, I welcome you to my counseling service.

I named my practice Christian counseling because who I am and what I’m called to do is based on biblical principles.

I’m called to love and serve everyone I encounter in my counseling space – so you can live out a more fulfilling life.

What happens if I see you outside the office?

It’s a small world, so it’s not unreasonable to think we might run into each other in public. If that happens, I’ll probably smile in your direction, but I will not approach you or initiate a conversation with you, to respect and protect your privacy. It’s critical to keep our relationship confidential under normal circumstances.

However, please feel free to say hello to me if you feel like it.
