Holistic Professional Counseling to Teens, Adults, Couples, and Families in Colorado and Overseas
Emotional pain seems to be dictating your life.
Lately, it feels like it controls almost everything you do.
It’s frustrating, overwhelming, and seemingly endless.
It sucks.
You try to keep busy to avoid it…
But as soon as there is a brief pause in activity;
While you wait at a red light…
Or lay in bed, wide awake in the middle of the night…
Or settle in your chair for a moment of rest…
That excruciating feeling creeps back in.
You feel it in your chest, stomach, throat, shoulders, back… it’s so intense and deafening.
It screams at you, threatening to explode inside of you at any moment and devour you alive.
You have nowhere to hide from it and no power to control it.
Your mind desperately tries to grasp at some quick fix.
It directs you to blame whatever or whoever is around you, so you aim your anger at them, only to immediately regret it.
It directs you to blame yourself, so you start to believe that you are dumb, unworthy of love, or will never be enough.
Then, it directs you toward one thought and one thought only. It ignores the rest.
Or, it yells “danger!” and pushes you to do something, ANYTHING, about this pain.
So, you turn to the bottle, the needle, the images, the outbursts, the panic attacks, the constantly escalating conflicts, or just shutting down and withdrawing for days.
But it never lasts long.
When you return from your temporary distraction, you realize that the emotional pain is still there; grown only deeper and stronger by each unsuccessful attempt to run from it.
The day becomes more draining, the night seems longer, and the body feels heavier with more intense burdens… It’s like you’re on a hamster wheel, constantly running but never getting anywhere.
Where is the relief? Where is the rescue? Will I ever feel joy again?
Luckily, there is a way forward.
As you turn the street corner, you unexpectedly hear the laughter of children in the park…
See the beautiful alpenglow on the hills…
Or smell the cooking of food in a nearby home…
Suddenly, something tender inside you stirs. At once, you catch a glimpse of the part of you that used to be filled with hope and enthusiasm and joy – long ago, when life felt very different.
You’re reminded that existence can feel good! How did things get so far from there?
You recognize these stubborn patterns within yourself, the ones that keep you living only at the surface level of your existence. Yet, you don’t know what to do about them.
How can you get back to a life that you are passionate about living?
I am Here for You
Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all.

Hi, I’m Huiling.
I have been called to sit with you in the counseling room, to truly listen to what your heart, mind, and body have to say.
I provide a safe space where you and I together will find your way forward.
You have a lot inside. It may take us a while to process everything through.
Do not worry. Do not rush. You have all the time and space you will need.
In the end, you will get to the other side.
It has happened for me and so many others – as long as you are willing to take the journey, it will happen for you, too.
